Got a call from the production house this afternoon. They offered Matt the job. Again. This time, it was verified by the CEO, and the arrangement is for Matt to hit L.A. for training on March 24, and then get shipped off to Las Vegas for the first 8 weeks of production. After that, he gets a week off. That pattern will continue with 8 weeks on (5 days/week) and one week off until Thanksgiving. Then he's off until the following March.
But for spite, I'm not going to get really excited until he's in Las Vegas.
