Gettin' More "Official-er" Every Day

We received an official email of welcome from Langley Productions with some instructions for paperwork and an outline of the training schedule for the end of March. We're feeling confident that this is all legit ("too legit to quit!"--sorry, I can't help myself). 

So Matt submitted his official letter of resignation and the job is now open. We're a little surprised by that. We kind of thought that they'd freeze the job and make do with other photogs, but they're going all out. So if you want to be a sports photographer in the #11 market in the country, Fisher Communications wants to hear from YOU. 

Then the chief photographer sent out an email to all KOMO employees with a heads up regarding Matt's departure. It's one of the greatest things anyone has ever written about him, and I thought it apropos to share it here:

"I regret to announce that Matt has decided to leave KOMO to live and work in California. His wife Lindsey has been accepted to medical school at Western University in Pomona, and Matt has taken on a new position shooting for the syndicated show, ‘COPS’.

While here at KOMO-TV, Matt has become one of the best sports photographers in the country. He has been a solid force behind the success of the KOMO sports dept. And his 7 years here have been filled with great accomplishments. He has received numerous Emmy’s and a prestigious National Murrow award.

We are going to miss him here at KOMO, and wish him and Lindsey only the best. Matt’s last day will be March 16th."
